How can I learn more about your services?

Finding the right fit between a client and a professional is essential for effective progress, whether it’s for ongoing therapy or a one-time evaluation. Each individual’s needs are unique, and the connection with the professional can significantly impact the outcome. That’s why free 15-minute consultation calls are available – to ensure a comfortable and confident choice. This provides an opportunity for clients to ask questions, share their goals, and determine if the services offered are the right match. Your well-being is a priority, and the support you need is always accessible.

If you want to schedule a consultation call, please contact us!

Are your services virtual or in person?

Parker House Psychology provides in-person services in Tallahassee, Florida as well as virtual services in 42 states that are part of the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT).

Depending on client preference and response, therapy sessions can be conducted fully virtually. In some cases, a recommendation might be provided that in-person services could be a better fit (this is most likely to occur with children who have a difficult time with attention and concentration).

Some types of evaluations can be conducted virtually, while others require an in-person testing session. This information will be shared during your consultation call.

FAQs about Investment for Services

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, insurance is not accepted, as we feel that it is important to avoid insurance companies dictating the number of sessions or the type of support offered. However, documentation for out-of-network reimbursement can be provided if your insurance plan includes that benefit. Please inquire with your insurance company regarding “out-of-network reimbursement benefits for mental health services” to learn more about your personal deductible and requirements.

What types of payment do you accept?

A variety of electronic payment methods are accepted, including debit and credit cards, as well as HSA/FSA accounts. For those with the FES-UA scholarship, necessary documentation can be provided for reimbursement of covered services. Please refer to the FES-UA handbook for details on eligible services. Additionally, payment plans can be developed to fit your needs.

Do you offer reduced rates?

Sliding scale rates are available for those experiencing financial need. A sliding scale application can be sent upon request.

Occasionally, pro bono cases are accepted based on individual circumstances and availability. If financial barriers are preventing access to services, please feel free to reach out to discuss the possibility of receiving support at no cost. Each case is considered with care, and priority is given to those in significant need.

How can I learn more about your rates?

Contact us and we can provide you more information about fees based on your needs.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

In accordance with the No Surprises Act, clients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) for the services provided by this practice. The Good Faith Estimate is a written estimate of the expected costs for services, which is available upon request.

The GFE will include:

·       The expected cost of therapy sessions, evaluations, or other services

·       Any additional fees, such as those for missed appointments or late cancellations

·       The provider’s name, NPI (National Provider Identifier) number, and tax identification number

·       A description of the services to be provided, including an estimate of the number of sessions or visits

Clients will be provided a Good Faith Estimate before receiving services. If the actual charges exceed the GFE by more than $400, clients have the right to dispute the charges.
